FORT ROTTERDAM

Fort Rotterdam is a 17th-century fort in Makassar on the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia. It is a Dutch fort built on top of an existing fort of the Gowa Kingdom. The original fort, Jum Pandan, gave its name to the city Ujung Pandang, another name for the city of Makassar.

Fort Rotterdam lies in the heart of Makassar. It is rectangular in shape, surrounded with 7 meter wall and was equipped with six bulwarks, five of them are still visible: Bastion Bonie (after the Bone state) to the west, Bastion Boeton (Buton Island) to the northwest, Bastion Batjang (Bacan Islands) to the southwest, Bastion Mandassar to the northeast, and Bastion Amboina (Ambon) to the southeast. The sixth bulwark, Bastion Ravelin, is not visible any longer. Some of the bastions still contain some cannons. It is possible to walk over most of the ramparts. A two meter deep moat system used to surround the perimeter of the fort, however only the southwest portion of the moat can still be seen today.
Inside the fort are thirteen buildings, 11 of them are 17th-century original buildings of the fort; most are still good in condition. At the very center of the fort is a church building. Several buildings along the north and south curtain wall still exist: the buildings along the northern curtain wall were some of the oldest buildings (1686), such as the residence of the governor, residence of the senior merchant, of the captain, the predikant, and the secretary, with several storage for weapons. The government's residence at the north-westernmost is nicknamed as "the Speelman's House", however Speelman himself never actually lived in this house. The house was used by the governor of Celebes until the mid 19th-century when he moved to a more comfortable villa in Jalan Ahmad Yani. The Speelman's House now housed one half of La Galigo museum. La Galigo museum kept some prehistoric megaliths from Watampone, as well as ancient weapons, coins, shells, utensils, sketches and stamps. The buildings on the south curtain, originally a storage, housed a museum displaying local skills in silk weaving, agriculture and boatbuilding; and scale models of indigenous boats. The barracks on the eastern wall now housed a small library, featuring old Dutch books that mostly belonged to Reverend Mates, a 19th-century missionary. There is also ships' logs of VOC captains and ancient lontar manuscripts. The department of archaeology is housed in the former building of the head of the administration of VOC; the ground floor of the building, located in the southeast corner of the fort, was formerly a prison.
The other two buildings inside Fort Rotterdam were built by the Japanese during the brief Japanese occupation period.
The southwestern Bastion (Bastion Bacan) contains a prison where Prince Diponegoro was imprisoned for the rest of his life.
The fort is now used to held various events. There is a conservatory for music and dance, archive of the city, and a historic and archaeological institute.

^thats my feet on the top of little tunnel.. i'm sorry that i can't show you the building.. because my camera's memory cards are broken

The Rabbit And the Turtle

Rabbit-Turtle
One day a rabbit was boasting about how fast he could run. He was laughing at the turtle for being so slow. Much to the rabbit’s surprise, the turtle challenged him to a race. The rabbit thought this was a good joke and accepted the challenge. The fox was to be the umpire of the race. As the race began, the rabbit raced way ahead of the turtle, just like everyone thought.
The rabbit got to the halfway point and could not see the turtle anywhere. He was hot and tired and decided to stop and take a short nap. Even if the turtle passed him, he would be able to race to the finish line ahead of him. All this time the turtle kept walking step by step by step. He never quit no matter how hot or tired he got. He just kept going.
However, the rabbit slept longer than he had thought and woke up. He could not see the turtle anywhere! He went at full-speed to the finish line but found the turtle there waiting for him.

TEMPEH

Hi!
Today, We're gonna post about Tempe. Why? Because we've got some task to do in our biology class. Our project of this task is to find out how much impact of a ferment as a tempeh starter in the making of Tempe. By the way, I'm doing this project with my friends Nadhirah, Kemal, Ramzy and Salsabillah Aurel.

All of you must be already knew about Tempe right? A traditional food that contains a lot of nutrition. It really is a healthy food. Tempe or Tempeh is usually known as a famous healthy food in java of indonesia. It made by a fermentation of soy bean. To make a tempeh all you need are a bunch of soy bean, a tempeh starter, and a leaves or plastic to cover up the tempe.

All you have to do for making a tempe at home are:
1. First, prepare all of the things that needed.
2. Second, soak the soybeans
3. Next, clean the soybean and make sure that the skin are off of it.
4. After that, boil them until  the soybeans become a little bit softer.
5. Make sure that the soybeans are dry.
6. Sprinkle all the yeast or ferment all over the soybeans. Make sure it spread evenly.
7. Take the plastic or the banan

a leaves and then enter the soybeans. You can set the size of its thickness.
8. After that all you have to do is do a fermentation to the soybeans for 2 days at a room temperature. Make sure that u the soybeans are in the close state.
9. Finally, after the fermentation you can enjoy your own making Tempeh.

It really easy to do right? Well, even it takes a lot of time to do but its worth it for the taste. Tempeh is one of my favourite food too.

To make this project we started from today because the deadline of the task is really close. So this is what we did today,

We were peeling all the soybeans to make sure that the soybeans are clean. It took some efforts to do becaue we cleaned the soybeans by our hands and we were having a lot of soybeans. But because of this project, unfortunately we can't attend one of our additional class. We were really sorry for that:(

I think that's all for this post. Make sure that you eat  a lot of tempe okay? It really is a healthy food. Trust me!

On Saturday, September 19th,SMAN 3 BANDUNG held an art and cultural festival named GAMARVANI.There were some famous artists like Adera and hivi and also there were some SMAN 3 Bandung extraculiculars perform like tiloe's teater' MK3 ,etc.

a week before Gamarvani, I bought two tickets, on for me and one for my friend. But, 3 days before the festival,my tickets were lost and my friend was so angry because he already paid me for the ticket. Luckily my friend from x-social gave me 2 tickets for free.

The days when the Gamarvani held, i went there with kemal. the ticket exchange box was very full so we wait for 30 minutes in SMAN 3 canteen. At 3 o'clock we went to the Gamarvani. When we came in,MK3 was performing classical music. Kemal and i were invited to join febby, sinta, sistha and alma. They were sitting on a bench in front of foodtruck. We sat there until tiloe's teater started to perform their cabaret.Tiloes teater was verry funny and amazing. When tiloes teater was performing their cabaret, i met my bestfriend and my friend from bilingual 7th Taruna Bakti class. We talked for a long time that made kemal joined his jhs friend.Unfortunately, my ex girlfriend was coming and she asked me to accompany her to buy some food. Finally i accompanied her and bought some foods. After ate together, i splitted up with her and prayed magribh. After pray, my mom called me that she was outside and told me to go home.

And then i said goodbye to each other and went outside. when i was in the car, my friend's mom called me that she was looking for my friend.Evidently, my friend was in a way home, and my friend's mom said thank to me and hanging up the phone. Finally i arrived at my house at 7 o'clock and i was very tired and than i went sleep.I thought thats all of my experience in GAMARVANI
